Management Team


	Chandru Theagarajan Chief Information Officer, Sundaram Business Services Chandru Heads our Information Technology Team. Chandru comes with a track record of more than 25 years of experience in leading companies in India and Abroad. Prior to joining SBS he has held senior positions with leading companies like Alliance Computer Telephony India Pvt. Ltd., KPMG, Elgi equipments, Mercedes Benz India, Kriloskar Cummins and Ashok Leyland etc.. At these companies, he has had extensive hands-on experience in Product management, Delivery management, Account management, Change management, Strategic planning, Business information systems, Software Need analysis, Business Process Analysis, Deployment of ERP and implementation of IT systems experience across business functions. Chandru is a mechanical engineer from S.J.C.E – Mysore University and also holds a PG in International management from Intl. Management institute –New Delhi.

	Harish Rao Head – Australia & New Zealand, Sundaram Business Services Harish Rao has lived in Australia for 37 years having completed his schooling at Melbourne Grammar School, and undergraduate studies with a BCommerce and BScience at the Australian National University. After graduating, Harish worked at Boyd Partners Limited, a leading chartered accounting practice in Melbourne for 4 years, before joining PF Securities (the investment banking arm of a national legal firm, Phillips Fox. Here he was involved with capital raisings and IPOs. During this time, Harish completed his Graduate Certificate in International Business and an MBA from Monash University majoring in Finance. He subsequently established his own Business Process Outsourcing unit in Chennai, India, where he undertook accounting & superannuation work for Australian accountants, which then led him to join Sundaram Business Services in December 2004 as the Head of Asia Pacific operations.

Management Team


	V. Kumaraswami Head-Operations, Sundaram Business Services Kumar is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the various business units comprising SBS to deliver the services contracted with customers under the respective Service Level Agreements. Kumar spent the early part of his life in the United Kingdom and after his education at Cheadle Moseley Grammar School and Manchester Polytechnic, he joined Bank of Credit and Commerce International in 1976. He worked in the bank's Advances and Documentary Credits section in Manchester and London before moving back to Chennai in late 1988. Kumar joined Sundaram Finance in June 1989 in Hire Purchase Operations. He worked in both field and back-office operations after which he was transferred to the company's Fixed Deposits section. In May 1991 he joined the Leasing division and was entrusted with responsibilities in Lease marketing, documentation and receivables management. In 2000, after a year heading the company's Fixed Deposits section, he was part of the team, which made a foray into Shared Services leading to the creation of Sundaram Business Services in July 2001.

	Madhavan S Head Insurance Practice, Sundaram Business Services Madhavan heads Insurance Practice of SBS, which comprises insurance operations and insurance-related business development. Over two decades of experience in the life insurance industry has helped him in having exposure to various functions of the life insurance business. Starting his career from Life Insurance Corporation of India, Madhavan moved on to AMP Sanmar, managing various assignments in underwriting and distribution operations. Later, he shifted to SBI Life as Assistant Vice President (Operations), where he was responsible for driving customer service and claims operations for both individual and institutional lines of business. Prior to joining SBS, Madhavan had a stint with MetLife as General Manager, responsible for driving project initiatives, business metrics, reinsurance Bordereaux management, operational compliance and setting up of an Operating Risk Control unit. Madhavan is a commerce graduate from Madras University and an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India.

	Mukundan Head process migration, Sundaram Business Services Mukundan is a qualified Chartered and Cost Accountant with 13 years of industry experience in Accounting, Finance, BPO, Software, Equity and Forex markets. He had a two-year stint as a Financial Controller for a reputed Company in London including implementation of an ERP system in a multi currency, multi divisional environment. He worked as a Functional Consultant in a software Company where he was instrumental in implementing the data warehousing solutions for many limited companies using his domain knowledge. Before joining Sundaram Business Services he was handling the transition of the back office of a group of Companies in London. He Heads the Transition team at SBS and has migrated various processes successfully.

	P.S. Raghavan Chief Executive Officer - Sundaram Business Services Raghavan has been heading SBS since its inception. He was also involved in setting up the Central Processing Unit and Shared Services Center for Sundaram Finance Ltd before his shift to SBS. Earlier, Raghavan was engaged in the auto finance operations of Sundaram Finance for over 15 years and was part of the SF team entrusted with the task of expanding the Company’s operations in some of the northern and western parts of India. Prior to joining Sundaram Finance, Raghavan was attached to the banking industry serving one of the government-owned banks in the country for over 14 years. He was involved in retail banking and supervision of credit operations in certain regions. While graduating in Commerce from the University of Kerala, India, he secured the First rank in the University.

	S. Sridhar Head KPO Initiatives and Business Development -India Sridhar is a Chartered and Cost Accountant and has more than 14 years of experience in the field. He started his career with Ashok Leyland Finance in 1992 before moving into Sundaram Finance Group in 1994. He joined India Equipment Leasing Ltd., a then subsidiary of Sundaram Finance and worked in Audit and Accounts. In 1999, he moved into the Treasury of Sundaram Finance and since then has occupied a key position in the Finance function of the Company. He moved to SBS recently and works in the areas of KPO and related business development.

	K. Swaminathan Executive Director, Sundaram Infotech Solutions K. Swaminathan (Swami) is a graduate Engineer, with more than 3 decades of experience involving database design, covering various industries that include Information Technology, Non-banking financial services, Automobile sales & marketing and Manufacturing. Swami started his career with a leading Public Sector undertaking in Southern India before moving over to the Middle-East Asia to spearhead Operations for a leading automobile sales company. He is known for his strategic thinking and his ability to leverage technology for arriving at a solution. He has also led various product development initiatives in the past including Lending Solution, Supply Chain Management etc. Swami’s association with Sundaram Group started in middle 80-s, when the MIS division was first formed. Since then, Swami has been an integral part of almost every Information Technology initiative of the Sundaram Finance group and today heads the Technology arm of Sundaram Infotech as a Senior Vice President and CTO. He continues to ideate the technology road map of Sundaram Infotech Solutions in particular and Sundaram Group to a large extent. Swami’s interests include reading & music.
